The discipline of law of Anhui University of Finance and Economics was born in the early 1990s when China began the construction of socialist market economy. In April 1994, the Law Department of Anhui University of Finance and Economics (formerly Anhui Finance and Trade College) was established. In September 1994, the first undergraduate students majoring in economic law were enrolled. In 1995, it enrolled junior college students majoring in international economic law, and in 1996, it enrolled undergraduate students majoring in international economic law. After the national adjustment of undergraduate programs in 1998, law undergraduate programs were uniformly enrolled. In January 2005, the School of Law was established. Over the past 20 years, the faculty and staff of the college have adhered to the school motto of integrity, harmony, fairness and justice and adhered to the basic road of connotation development, thus achieving comprehensive, sustained and coordinated development in all aspects of their work.

The law school now offers undergraduate law major, which is divided into two directions: law and forensic accounting. Law major is the key construction major of the university, and the construction major of the provincial quality engineering projects Excellent Legal Talents Program, Comprehensive Law Reform Pilot Project, School-Enterprise Cooperative Legal Education Base and Excellent Legal Talents Education Program. In 2002, 2004 and 2007, it began to enroll academic graduate students in Economic Law, International Law and Civil and Commercial Law respectively. In 2007, it was authorized to confer master's degree of law, and in 2011, it was authorized to confer master's degree of first-level discipline of law. The university is now recruiting graduate students of economic law, international law, civil and commercial law, legal theory, criminal law and professional master of law degree (including full-time law master, full-time illegal law master and part-time law master).

The School of Law currently has 67 faculty members, including 54 full-time teachers. There are more than 30 teachers with senior titles, including 13 professors, 41 of whom have doctor's degree (studying), and the rate of doctor's degree is 76%. Two teachers were selected as High Productivity Authors in China Law Core Research Evaluation Sources Journal (CLSCI).

Over the past 20 years, faculty members of the school have published nearly 100 high-level academic papers in core journals of law, such as Chinese Social Sciences, Legal Studies, Chinese Law, Chinese and Foreign Law, etc., and have joined the ranks of law schools with papers published in the three leading domestic law journals. From 2014 to 2018, the total number of papers published by CLSCI ranked 66th, 36th, 52nd, 68th, and 54th in China, successively ranking among the top 100 in China. He has presided over more than 20 national social science fund projects (including 1 key project), more than 100 other provincial and ministerial level projects, and won more than 10 provincial and ministerial level awards. College has the economic law research center, international law and international tax law research center, east Asian political economy research institute, farmland and cooperative research centre, local institutes of legislation and the area along the legal research center, the school set up incorporeal institutions, with the international tax treaty, cooperatives and the rural social security, international disputes and evidence law three dc field C discipline.

Academic exchange and scientific research to serve the social work are one of the important contents of the discipline construction of the college. The school regularly holds Lecture Hall for Judges and Prosecutors, Longhu Law Salon, Graduate Research and Innovation Team and other academic activities. Nearly 100 well-known scholars from dozens of universities at home and abroad, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, University of Michigan, University of Osnabruck, Germany, Chuo University and so on, have been invited to hold academic reports successively, which effectively activated the academic atmosphere of the school. Successively to undertake annual meeting and academic seminar of the China international economic law in 2006, 2011 older triangle region, secretary of the law school dean/joint conference, 2013, Chen anhui annual meeting and BBS of the institution of civil and commercial law, law of 2017 academic innovation, journal of law and promote the rule of law in China construction workshop, artificial intelligence, 2018, the criminal procedure law and evidence system development of the era of large data conference seminars, etc. A number of teachers as a director or executive director of the national academic groups respectively, employed in anhui province, anhui province people's government legal adviser legal adviser, bengbu municipal legal advisers, bengbu as advisers to the law of the people's government, actively work for the rule of law construction of BSFLP, more than the teacher's think-tank results for leadership, jiusan society, the central leadership instructions.

The Law School has always paid attention to the comprehensive cultivation of students' quality. The Law School team won the Best Defendant in the first Yangtze River Delta University Moot Court Competition hosted by Shanghai University in 2014. In 2014 and 2015, he won the champion and the runner-up of Anhui Future Lawyers Debate Competition respectively. In 2018, he won the champion of the applicant team, the third runner-up of the arbitration team and the best organization award in the third Nanzhong Zijin Cup Mock Court Competition, the champion of agent group and the runner-up of judge group in the first Huaihai Cup National University Mock Court Competition, and the champion of the third Anhui University Student Mock Court Competition. In 2016, one student won the title of Practice Organization Leader awarded by the Central Committee of the Youth League in the publicity activity of Three Countryside, Three Countryside, Three Countryside social practice for college and technical secondary school students. The Four Enters and Four Creeds book class and knowledge competition organized by the League branch of Class 2 Law School of Grade 13 was selected as the grass-roots excellent project of the Four Enters and Four Creeds activity selected by the Central School Department of the League.

Law discipline is one of the three major disciplines in Anhui University of Finance and Economics. It has a great influence in Anhui Province and a certain popularity in the whole country. According to the Ranking of the Best Disciplines in China (Law) released by Shanghai Soft Science, the law discipline of Anhui University of Finance and Economics ranked 86th, 69th and 74th respectively in the past three years, ranking among the top 100 law disciplines in China. At present, under the leadership and support of the school, law school in the floor under the joint efforts of teachers and students, the development pattern of structures, platforms, the direction would be subject, professional characteristics, the construction of the teachers and students of the ideal home, accelerating the development of college, promote anhui finance and economics university law school in the province and domestic reputation and influence.
